Watchmen star to reprise Denzel Washington role in Man on Fire series
A new adaptation of The Fireman, the book by AJ Quinnell, for Netflix.
Twenty years later, he will be the Man on Fire from Netflix. In 2004, Denzel Washington was Tony Scott's hero. The future Netflix series, which will be a new adaptation of AJ Quinnell's books, will be carried by Yahya Abdul-Mateen IIstar of the series Watchmen where he was the famous Dr Manhattan, who we recently met in Matrix Resurrections, Ambulance And Aquaman. He will play the lead role and serve as executive producer.
The director of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,Steven Caple Jr. expected to direct the first two episodes of the series Man on Firewhich will follow a special forces mercenary named Creesy, who, on his journey to redemption, fights his own personal battle.
The synopsis details: “Once a highly efficient and capable special forces mercenary known for surviving even the most grim situations, Creasy (Mateen) is now plagued by intense post-traumatic stress. Determined to conquer his personal demons, he sets out on the path to redemption. But before he can adjust to this new life, he finds himself back in the fire, fighting harder than ever.”
