Amazon Teases Gen V Season 2 After The Boys 4
The spin-off is expected to be a direct sequel to the finale that aired this week on Prime Video.
Season 4 of The Boys which has just ended has multiplied the winks to Gen Vthe spin-off series broadcast last year on Prime Video and of which season 2 is expected soon. Warning: spoilers!
The famous anti-Supe virus, developed in the secret labs of Godolkin University, was discussed. Cate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa Germann) on several occasions, notably as Homelander’s armed arm. So season 2 of Gen V will necessarily be the direct continuation of this season 4, even before season 5 of The Boys.
But where is she? Amazon studio bosses Jennifer Salke and Vernon Sanders respond in Variety: “OEric Kripke is trusted. And every time, he has done very well, even in the daily feedback we currently have on season 2 of Gen V…”
The studio then refers to the death of Chance Perdomo – who was killed on a motorcycle last March – “a terrible challenge to manage”. Then Jennifer Salke and Vernon Sanders promise: “Fans of the entire franchise will be blown away by Season 2 of Gen V“.
Let us recall that another spin-off, The Boys: Mexico is planned and other spin-off series could follow: “We have a lot of ideas and thoughts, but we want to make sure that everything works. So when we announce our next series, if we announce something, it will be because we are sure that it is a story that deserves to be told.” temper the Amazon bosses.
Season 2 of Gen V has not yet started filming. No release expected before 2025.
