Brian Cox will be New York’s biggest serial killer in Dexter: Resurrection season 2
After burying his entire family in Succession, he will completely turn into the “New York Ripper” hunted by Dexter Morgan.
He was already the boss of New York in Succession. This time, Brian Cox will be the ultimate predator.
The actor will play a legendary serial killer in season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection: the famous “New York Ripper”, an urban legend widely teased in season 1 and which promises to give Dexter Morgan a hard time.
According to information revealed by Variety, Brian Cox officially joins the cast of the series in the role of Dom Framt. Introduced in season 1 without ever appearing, this character will now be central. Dom Framt is described as a former serial killer who terrorized New York for years. Now retired, he has nevertheless lost none of his darkness: he continues to nourish his legend by harassing the survivors of his past crimes. A more psychological threat than ever.
Spoiler alert!
His existence was revealed when Dexter (played by Michael C. Hall) then detective Claudette Wallace (Kadia Saraf) discovered a file about him in Leon Prater’s (Peter Dinklage) trunk. A plot left unresolved… and which will therefore feed into season 2 to come.
This role also marks a return to his roots for Brian Cox, who has already been a serial killer. Fans remember: he played Hannibal Lecter in the film Manhunter in 1986, long before the character became cult (in the guise of Anthony Hopkins).
Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection does not yet have a release date.
