Composed of nine episodes and inspired by real facts, the series Chief of war takes place in the Hawaii archipelago and follows the warrior Ka’iana (Jason Momoa) while he tries to unify the islands before Western colonization, at the end of the 18th century.
Chief of war Aims to retrace the unification and colonization of Hawaii through the eyes of the Aboriginal people. An impressive trailer has just been revealed.
Interpreted by mainly Polynesian actors, Chief of war gathers alongside Momoa: Luciane Buchanan,, Temuera MorrisonTe ao o Hinepehinga, cliff Curtis, Kaina Makua, Moses Goods, Siua Ikale’o, Brandon Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka, Te Kohe Tuhaka and Benjamin Hoetjes.
Jason Momoa Carries out the last episode and also officiates as a delegate producer. The series is showed by Doug Jungwhile the original music is signed Hans Zimmer.
The first two episodes of Chief of war will be available on Friday August 1ᵉʳ 2025 on Apple TV+, followed by a new episode every Friday, until September 19.
