Children of the Resistance: trailer for the film with Artus
The director of Les Choristes adapts the successful comic book about the Second World War.
Christophe Barratier reunites with Gérard Jugnot. More than 20 years later The Choirsthe director and actor are making their 4th film together with Children of the Resistancecarried by Artus and a trio of brats ready to fight the Germans.
Based on the successful comic strip by Vincent Dugomier and Benoît Ers, published by Le Lombard and sold more than 2.5 million copies in France, Children of the Resistance recounts the period of the Occupation through the prism of schoolchildren of the time.
The synopsis: “During the German occupation during the Second World War, François, Eusebe and Lisa, three courageous children, embark on a secret adventure: resisting the Nazis in the heart of France. Sabotage, hidden messages and perilous escapes, they carry out clandestine actions under the nose of the enemy. Boldness and friendship are their only weapons to fight against injustice.”
Lucas Hector, Nina Filbrandt, Octave Gerbi will be the three young heroes, with Artus, Gérard Jugnot, Pierre Deladonchamps, Leslie Medina, Julien Pestel, Julien Arruti and Vanessa Guide in the rest of the cast.
Children of the Resistance will be released in cinemas on February 11, 2026
