Crazy and nostalgia: the Jackass 5 trailer already hurts
The last stand of Johnny Knoxville and his band of sweet crazy people will be called Jackass: Best and Last.
Four years later Jackass Forever – which had still collected nearly 80 million dollars worldwide – Johnny Knoxville’s gang returns to the ring for a final lap. One last stand, big screen version.
Titled Jackass: Best and Lastthis new opus promises something new… and something very old. Translation: new stunts, ever more absurd, but also a best-of of the worst (and therefore best) moments of the last 25 years. A noisy, messy and frankly stupid celebration of this filthy camaraderie that we have loved for a quarter of a century.
Born on MTV more than 25 years ago, jackass has become a phenomenon that has spanned several decades, with four films and a host of spin-offs. At the heart of the chaos: Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason Acuña (aka Wee Man), Dave England, Preston Lacy and Ehren McGhehey. A team of gentle crazy people who have elevated stupidity to the level of art.
The trailer doesn’t lie: it’s going to hurt. Very bad. Between new dangerous gags, well-placed shots below the belt, and absurd stunts (special mention to the gliding into construction toilets), the film promises an orgy of slapstick brutal, without filter, without dignity.
We’re going to go “Ouch”. We’re going to go “Ooh there”. And yes, we will surely shed a little tear. Because we will miss these magnificent idiots.
Jackass: Best and Last will be released on June 26, 2026 in the United States. No release date in France yet.
