Denis Podalydès and Sandrine Kiberlain rob Daniel Auteuil in La Petite Vadrouille (trailer)
The next film by Bruno Podalydès, who poses as a false heir to Louis de Funès, will be released on June 5.
“Justine, her husband and their whole group of friends find a solution to solve their money problems: organize a fake romantic cruise for Franck, a big investor, who is trying to seduce a woman.”
With its self-deprecating title, The Little Mopeleventh film of Bruno Podalydèstakes us into a road trip made of cardboard (and on water!) in the heart of rural France as possible. A true anti-thief film, this story poses as the false counterpart of the mop of From Funès And Bourvil, which was Great because of its connection with History. In Podalydès' film, interests are individual. Broken arms and risk-takers are running in all directions to develop this farce, which is Gérard Oury at least the absurdity of his situations.
After having depicted the city and the modern world in his last two feature films (Wow! And The 2 Alfreds), Bruno Podalydès offers himself a bucolic escape. This boat trip is reminiscent of his second film, Liberté-Oléronin which a father improvises as a ship captain while on vacation in Charentes-Maritimes.
Around the duo he forms with his brother, DennisBruno Podalydès brought together some French headliners, including Sandrine Kiberlainwhich he has already directed in Like a plane And The 2 Alfredsbut also Daniel Auteuilwith whom he worked for the first time.
The Little Mop will be released in cinemas on June 5, 2024.
