6 months later The Fabelmans by Steven Spielberg, in which he was a moving family man, Paul Dano changes style for the new film by Craig Gillespie, Dumb Money, which tells the story of the GameStop brand in the United States, weakened following the COVID crisis, before being helped by a small number of people deciding to invest in the brand by buying stocks at low costs. Keith Gill, a financial analyst, decides to go even further by encouraging a group of Americans on the Internet to invest massively to help the chain recover, in order to thwart the plans of the group of hedge funds Melvin Capital, which has bet on the fall of the sign…
The film was directed by Craig Gillespie, whose previous feature, Me Tonyaon the skater Tonya Harding, had allowed Margot Robbie to be nominated for the Oscar for best actress in 2017. In the cast of this new feature film, which recalls The Big Shortwe therefore find Paul Dano in the skin of Keith Gill, but also Pete Davidson, Shailene Woodley, America Ferrera, Seth Rogen, Vincent d’Onofrio and Sebastian Stan.
The film will be released on October 20 in the United States, but currently has no release date in France.
