The Spider-Man actor is in talks to join the filmmaker’s next project.
After offering an Oscar to Cillian Murphy on a plate for Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan will he bring to Tom Holland consecration?
The English actor, currently at the theater in London in a rereading of Romeo and Julietis in talks to join the cast of Nolan’s next film. Nothing has been signed yet, but if the deal materializes, the actor Spider-Man will play alongside Matt Damon in this project which remains secret. We just know that Christopher Nolan will write and direct this feature film, the release date of which is scheduled for July 17, 2026 in theaters.
We imagine that the main sticking point is likely to be the calendar. Filming is expected to begin in early 2025, but Tom Holland will certainly have Marvel obligations to meet next year, since he must reprise the role of Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4 and potentially in the next Avengers: Doomsdaywhich must be filmed in the first semester.
The film of Christopher Nolan will remain with Universal Pictures, which had supported Oppenheimercrowned with the Oscar for best film and raking in $975 million at the global box office in 2023.
