Eric Judor thinks he’s an elf: new image for Le Roi du Game
Formerly titled Puy des oufs, this fantasy comedy will soon arrive in cinemas.
Nine years later Problems, Eric Judor returns to directing with another zany comedy. Gaumont announces its release, scheduled for the end of October.
Long hair, elf ears and a medieval costume. The King of the Game (formerly titled Puy des oufs) unveils a new image halfway between… The Lord of the Rings And Kaamelott.

Clearly, the actor of The infernal Montparnasse Tower has a strong taste for parallel universes. Already, in Problems, the director depicted a community living in a prairie on the fringes of society, where individualism, technology and gender distinctions are banished. At the beginning of 2026, Télérama visited the set where the filmmaker presented his feature film as a “a cross between The Office and The Lord of the Rings.
The film was shot near Auvers-sur-Oise, in the area of Val Abbey. A natural decor which will certainly recall that of Problems.
On the casting side, we will find Éric Judor himself, alongside Alexandra Lamy, Marc Labrèche (Dark Ages ), Hafid Benamar (Plane tree) and Liona Bordonaro (Family weekend).
During an interview given to Firston the occasion of the release of K D’Orthe film by Jérémy Ferrari, Eric Judor confirmed that Problems 2 was currently being written, with his friend and director Martin Jauvat (Greater Paris, City fuck).
The King of the Game will be released on October 21, 2026 in French theaters.
