This poignant drama is finally arriving at the cinema in France.
How to enjoy the moment when time is running out? This is the question posed Love in the presentthe drama with Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield presented at the Toronto Film Festival last September. This film by John Crowley (Brooklyn), told in a non-linear way, will be released in cinemas in France on January 1, 2025.
Synopsis:
Almut and Tobias’ lives are forever changed when an accidental encounter brings them together.
A deeply moving romance about the moments that change us, and those that build us.
Florence Pugh really shaved her head to play this woman facing a terrible medical diagnosis. A decision that she explained during the American promotion of Love in the present (We Live in Time in VO):
“We had this discussion where I stopped him and said, ‘John, no one can play a character like this, in a movie like this, and not do what needs to be done‘. If I’m not ready to do that, then I shouldn’t be in a movie like that.”
