France 2 stops two flagship series: criminal tropics and Caesar Wagner

The chain wants to dust off its polar evenings.

France Télévisions turns the page for two of its flagship thrillers.

Season 7 of tropics criminal will be the last. The series led by Sonia Rolland, shot in Martinique, will stop at the initiative of the actress, eager to “less travel”, according to an info of satellifacts.

A final episode of farewell is envisaged. Broadcast in the spring, season 6 brought together 3.9 million viewers on average (21.9% of PDA).

Another announced judgment: that of César Wagner. Gil Alma’s surveys will be completed on January 10, 2025, after 11 episodes and a nice success (4.6 million faithful, or 22.5% of the public).

Why the end of criminal tropics and Caesar Wagner?

The fictional management of France Télévisions invokes a “renewal objective”. She wants to bet on new creations. High season, including the pilot with Vinie Dargaud and Joséphine Draï had attracted 3.8 million viewers, is confirmed, as was the strong way with Grégoire Bonnet. And other launches are in preparation as a cop animals with Fred Testot, a cop capable of dialogue with animals.

A breath of freshness will therefore soon blow on the polar evenings of the public chain.
