Daredevil Born Again will be the direct sequel to Netflix’s Daredevil
Matt Murdock will return to his previous life in what Charlie Cox calls a “continuation”.
Nelson, Murdock & Page is still open! A new photo of Daredevil: Born Again has just been posted online, and it says a lot about the new Disney Plus series. It shows Foggy’s returns (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) surrounding Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox)as they return to their office.
Because yes, the cabinet bringing together the three, created at the end of season 3 of the series Daredevil from Netflix (in 2018) is clearly still well established! The proof that Daredevil: Born Again – created by Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman and Chris Ord – is indeed the direct sequel.
Cox confirms in Empire Magazine: “There was talk early on about reinventing the whole thing, reinventing the story to see if Matt was a slightly different person. But it ended up feeling more like a continuation. A lot of the story we tell in Born Again continues that of the original series. The relationships and dynamics established in previous seasons still exist.
EXCLUSIVE 😈 #DaredevilBornAgain is “a continuation” of the Netflix show: “A lot of the history follows on,” Charlie Cox tells Empire.

The actor still specifies that there will be a jump in time: “A few years have passed. Meanwhile, Matt, Foggy and Karen have found a pretty good rhythm together (…) Matt has made peace with his role as lawyer and vigilante, but when Wilson Fisk/Kingpin returns to campaign for mayor of New York, then the troubles resurface...”
Vincent D’Onofrio will also return to the cast, as will Jon Bernthal who reprises his role as Frank Castle/Punisher.
Daredevil: Born Again which consists of a first season of nine episodes, will premiere on Disney Plus on March 4, 2025.
