Tom Holland listened to fans for Spider-Man: Brand New Day
The actor says he explored forums and social networks in order to better understand what fans of the weaver expected from a new Spider-Man film.
After having already put on the weaver costume in the MCU six times, Tom Holland tackles his fourth solo film with a more involved approach than ever.
Currently filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day In Scotland, the British actor told the media Ladbible that he had decided to dive seriously … in forums and social networks. Objective: to understand what fans really expect from their hero.
“I actively searched the internet to try to understand what fans wanted a Spider-Man film. It was my driving force in pitch meetings.”
An approach rarely confessed to Hollywood, where studios often wary of online expectations cacophony.
Tom Holland, he totally assumes to carry this voice in meetings with the producers – even if it means annoying them.
“They were probably tired of me, but I think it’s essential, because we make these films for them.”
The actor also says that he was involved in the design of the new costume, a central element of the film and always scrutinized closely by fans.
“What is really fun with this project is to have been able to design it and think about what we wanted to transmit”he slips, confirming an increased creative involvement in this new stage of the saga.
The shooting of Spider-Man: Brand New Day Begun in Glasgow this summer, where Holland has already been seen in a spectacular outdoor action scene, under the eye of passers -by and paparazzi. What further fuel the curiosity around this new episode, expected as a pivotal moment for Spider-Man in the Marvel universe.
