Happy Gilmore 2: first teaser with Adam Sandler

The sequel to the 1996 golf comedy starring Zohan and Uncut Gems will be released directly on Netflix.

A sequel to Happy Gilmore ! Did you ask for it? What do you mean “no”? For the record, Happy Gilmore was released directly on DVD to us in September 1999 under the title Termina Golf (sic). In the USA, the film was released in February 1996 and had enjoyed some public success, confirming that its actor/writer Adam Sandler was in progress (after Billy Madison in 1995) to become a sure bet at the box office. So it was the story of Happy Gilmore, an ice hockey player who switched to golf to save his grandmother’s house from the clutches of the bailiffs… In 1998, he left his mark on American cinema with the consecutive hits of Waterboy And Wedding Singer : the rest, as they say, is history.

So here, almost thirty years (ouch) later, Happy Gilmore 2 (and not Termina Golf 2: The Last Judgmentwhich is scandalous), which will be released directly on Netflix, where Sandler is a sure bet: his Murder Mystery was a big hit, just like Uncut Gems of the Safdie brothers. Moreover, Benny Safdie will play a small role in this Happy Gilmore 2… just like Ben Stiller (already in a cameo in the 1996 film) and Margaret Qualley, just to convince the last holdouts.
