HPI gets its American remake: the disturbing “copy-paste” trailer
Audrey Fleurot will be replaced by Kaitlin Olson in this US version which will take up everything the same… even Karadec.
While HPI returns tonight on TF1 with new episodes of season 4, the American channel ABC unveils the trailer of the US version. A copy-paste remake. With Morgan and Karadec who circle around each other while solving criminal investigations… Only small change: HPI will be called across the Atlantic High Potential !
The video (see below) shows this ordinary mother who becomes an investigator, while she solves an investigation by cleaning the police premises. The sequence is exactly the same as in the original version and we understand that High Potential will resume the plot in all respects. Even in the names, since the heroine will be called Morgan and her partner, the policeman, will be called… Karadec (played by Daniel Sunjata). Morgan will also have three children.
It is Kaitlin Olson who will take over the role ofAudrey Fleurot. The American actress is known for being one of the stars of the sitcom Philadelphia for almost 20 years, alongside her husband Rob McElhenneythe great friend of Ryan Reynolds (together they recently bought the British football club Wrexham).
High Potential will be launched on September 17 on the American channel ABC and also on Hulu in streaming. Which means that it could well arrive one day in our country on Disney Plus. It remains to be seen whether High Potential will meet with the same success in the United States as HPI In France…
