Jennifer Lawrence could have been Bella in Twilight: “My life would have been very different”

Twilight could have been a very different saga… During a recent episode of the podcast The Rewatchables, Jennifer Lawrence confided in her failed audition for the famous franchise, which finally offered Kristen Stewart and whose first opus was released in 2008. A missed opportunity that allowed her to land her first major role a year later: that of Katniss Everdeen, in The Hunger Games (2012), which revealed it to the general public.
“I auditioned for Twilight and they immediately turned me down. I wasn’t even called back. But my life would have been totally different. I got Hunger Games a year later, I think. When you audition and you’re some actor, you get five pages and they say, ‘Do the show.’ When the movie came out, I was like, ‘Damn it.’“said the actress.

lawrence is currently starring in the comedy The challenge directed by Gene Stupnitsky and released in theaters on June 21. In addition to being a producer, she plays the somewhat sassy lead role of Maddie: “About to lose her childhood home, Maddie finds an intriguing job offer: wealthy parents are looking for someone to go on a date with Percy, their introverted 19-year-old son, before he leaves for the university. To her surprise, Maddie quickly discovers that the strange Percy is more surprising than she imagined.,” reveals the synopsis.
