Jennifer Love Hewitt still remembers last summer: first photo

A good dose of nostalgia for Slasher lovers …

Slasher lovers of the 1990s are in a trance: the director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson has just shared a photo full of nostalgia: three decades after her first steps in the shoes of Julie James, Jennifer Love Hewitt comes back in Remember … last summer.

This first shot shows the heroine of the saga raising her mail … A letter is addressed to her name. Who still writes letters? A killer who knows everything and who wants to send him a message?

This new opus is based on a scenario co -written with Sam Lansky, Jeff Howard and Leah McKendrick, and aims to give new breath to this horrific saga while paying homage to original films.

With this first shooting image, Julie James’ return takes a concrete dimension and revives the memories of a generation marked by the terrifying hook killer. It remains to be seen how this new version will reinvent legend while capturing the essence that has made the success of the franchise.

In addition to the return of Jennifer Love Hewittthe film will see Freddie Prinze Jr. resume his role as Ray Bronson. They will be joined by newcomers to the universe of remembering … Jonah Hauer-King (the prince of The little mermaid live) and Madelyn Cline (Star of OUTER BANKS).

The reboot of Remember … last summer will be released in theaters on July 18, 2025.
