Jeremy Strong’s Mark Zuckerberg will have “nothing to do” with that of Jesse Eisenberg
The Succession actor will play the Facebook boss in The Social Reckoning, in his own way.
The filming of The Social Network 2 will begin in a few days in Vancouver, and Jeremy Strong is already in character as Mark Zuckerberg.
This weekend, the star of Succession made a splash at the Academy Museum gala, with his flamboyant red suit (and matching sunglasses) and lightened hair. “It’s for work“, he replied to The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor knew that he was inevitably going to be questioned about The Social Reckoning (this is the official title of the sequel written and directed by Aaron Sorkin), and he had prepared his speech, recycling more or less the same elements of language to the media present on the red carpet.
“This is one of the best scripts I have ever read. It speaks about our times, it puts the finger where it hurts in relation to everything that is happening in our world. He’s a big character, fascinating and complex, and I approach him with great care, empathy and objectivity. I made two films with Aaron, and the third time was the good one.”
Listening to his response, one can even detect a hint of Zuckerberg in Strong’s diction. This great fan of method acting is already in character:
