Kevin Costner’s new epic western: Horizon trailer
The great saga of America’s Wild West told by the star of Yellowstone.
35 years later Dancing with the wolves, 30 years later Wyatt Earp, 20 years later Open Range, Kevin Costner is back in the cinema in a great epic and historical western. Horizon: An American Saga is revealed in a large sumptuous trailer, which brings the filmmaker back to his obsessions, those of the conquest of the west, taciturn cowboys and the wide open spaces of the American midwest.
The synopsis tells of the ambition of the director, who wants nothing less than to return his country to its roots. “Horizon: An American Saga explores the allure of the Wild West and how it was won – and lost – through the blood, sweat and tears of many victims. Spanning four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey through a country at war with itself, experienced through the prism of families, friends and enemies all trying to figure out what it really means to be the United States of America.”
In the casting, the ex-star of Yellowstone will cross paths with Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Owen Crow Shoe, Tatanka Means, Ella Hunt, Tim Guinee, Danny Huston, Colin Cunningham, Scott Haze, Tom Payne, Michael Rooker, Will Patton, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jamie Campbell Bower , Tom Everett and Giovanni Ribisi.
Horizon is thought of as a great saga in four parts. Chapter 1 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 28, 2024 and Chapter 2 will hit theaters on August 16, 2024.
