The docuseries Unsuspected this evening concludes the affair of Hailwith the broadcast of the last two episodes, on France 2. The director Elie Wajeman and the journalist Patricia Tourancheaucomplete the chilling portrait of François Verovepolice officer and serial killer, rapist and child murderer.

While Daniel Zagurythe expert psychiatrist, struggles to understand the sociopath’s dual personality, we remember this incredible video unearthed a few months ago. While the Grêlé has just been updated, a video appears on the networks. We see there François Verove as a candidate for the show Everyone wants to take their placeon France 2. At Nagui, the retired gendarme peacefully recounts his life as a former member of the Republican Guard, in the cavalry regiment, impressing even the host in the process. Laughing, smiling, the murderer who evaded the authorities for 35 years simply goes unnoticed.

A chilling archive, in the light of Iunsuspected, which however does not appear in the docu-series. The director explains:

Patricia knew this sequence existed when we started working on Unsuspected tells us Elie Wajeman. “She searched for the video, but couldn’t find it in the archives. And then a journalist from Marianne got his hands on it while we were in the middle of editing. We hesitated to add it. And then finally, we gave up…”

Elie Wajeman recognizes that the sequence “is perfect for telling the Dr Jekyll and Mister Hyde aspect of François Verove, which we describe during the 4 episodes of the series…” Here is the video in question to see below:
