Loki season 2 got off to a great start on Disney Plus
Among the series, only season 3 of The Mandalorian did better.
Disney Plus audiences are rarely divided. But the platform announced yesterday that the start of season 2 of Loki was very widely followed.
In its first three days online (Friday through Sunday), new episodes of the Marvel Studios series generated 10.9 million views worldwide. A “view” is defined as the total duration of the program divided by the number of streams. A measure recently adopted by both Disney and Netflix.
This would thus be the second best start of the year on the platform, on the series side and in terms of views, after the start of season 3 of The Mandalorian last March.
The series is also on the same trend as Ahsokawhich garnered 14 million views in five days in August after its launch.
Disney films remain on top: Elementary recorded 26.4 million views in its first five days on Disney+, while the live-action The little Mermaid had recorded 16 million during the same period.
