Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi experience amazing love: Wuthering Trailer
The director of Saltburn signs a pop rereading of the masterpiece of romantic and gothic literature.
In 1847, Emily Brontë dynamited Victorian society with her one and only novel, Wuthering Heights. A shock that still thrills souls and hearts, almost two centuries later. And is preparing to return to the cinema with two sublime stars in the main roles: Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
Stormwind tells the story of the passion of Catherine Earnshaw (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi), an orphan taken in by his father. Following Heathcliff’s departure, Catherine marries a wealthy local heir. On his return, their impossible love will consume them little by little, to the point of madness.
Director Emerald Fennell, awarded the Oscar for best screenplay in 2021 for Promising Young Womansigns this ambitious adaptation of this great classic, for which she reunites with her director of photography from SaltburnLinus Sandgren, notably known for his work alongside Damien Chazelle (La La Land, First Man, Babylon).
Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell complete the cast of the film, which is produced by Margot Robbie’s company LuckyChap and distributed by Warner Bros. Stormwind will be released in cinemas on February 11. Trailer:
