The official preselections before the 2025 Oscar nominations
And A Simple Accident is in the running to represent France in the Best International Film category.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed the shortlists for the 2025 Oscars in 12 categories, revealing a selection dominated by Sinners (Warner Bros.) and Wicked: For Good (Universal), with 8 citations each.
Members from several branches of the Academy took part in the first round of voting, including the Best International Film category. And we find there well A Simple Accident to represent France.
The final nominations for these categories will be finalized in the coming weeks and will be announced on Thursday January 22 during the Oscar nominations ahead of the 98th ceremony, scheduled for March 15.
