Matt Reeves teases the general plot of The Batman 2 in the wake of Penguin
Obviously, Bruce Wayne is not going to regain his morale anytime soon…
As the story of the rise of The Penguin in the depths of Gotham City, the saga The Batman will continue in two years at the cinema with The Batman II. What will it be about? The director Matt Reeves reveals the first details and teases the general atmosphere.
“For Bruce Wayne, it will be very difficult to be Batman in the sequele”, Reeves confides to Digital Spy. He then specifies that the events of The Penguin will have an impact, because the Dark Knight could not take care of Falcone’s affairs:
“The series takes place literally a week after what happened in The Batman. It’s a time of great turmoil in the city. Much of Gotham is desperate, so the police can’t be everywhere, there There’s crime everywhere and it’s a very, very dangerous time…”
Obviously, Batman has had a lot of work to do during The Penguinthat’s why he didn’t intervene. And Matt Reeves emphasizes that the hero “must also face a certain guilt, facing the consequences of everything that happened (in the 2022 film) and for which he feels partly responsible…”
Big spleen and gloomy atmosphere in perspective. The precise details of the plot of The Batman: Part II remain secret for the moment. We know that Colin Farrell will be back facing Robert Pattinson. And possibly, Cristin Milioti could also return to play Sofia Falcone opposite her half-sister Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz).
The Batman 2 will be released in October 2026 in cinemas.
