No season 3 for goosebumps: Disney Plus cancels the series
Despite good audiences, the adapted series of RL Stine is canceled.
The thrill stops there: Disney Plus will not order season 3 for goosebumps.
The horrific anthology adapted from the famous collection of RL Stine novels therefore stops after 2 seasons, despite an honorable audience.
Launched in October 2023 with a weekly format, the series had changed its strategy for its season 2, boosted by David Schwimmer in the casting, broadcast from a block in January 2025. But that was not enough to convince the platform to continue the adventure.
According to Variety, Sony Pictures Television, which produces the series, now intends to offer the franchise to other broadcasters, with the idea of exploring a new creative direction for the cult license.
The two seasons total 75 million hours seen in the United States, to which are added 43 million hours internationally. A relative success which does not allow goosebumps to survive in the jungle of streaming.
