Pinocchio Unstrung: the horror film orchestrated by the creator of the killer Winnie the Pooh
The puppet has never been so scary!
Bloody Disgusting announced that the tender image of the little wooden boy is about to be massacred by the studio Jagged Edge Productions And Rhys Frake-Waterfield And Scott Jeffrey.
While Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey 2 plans to debut in February 2024, the sequel includes a new cast, including British actor Simon Callow, Tallulah Evans, Scott Chambers, Ryan Olivia And Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (The Vatican Exorcist).
Jagged Edge Productions revealed the project which will follow the killing of the honeyed and bloody bear: Pinocchio Unstrung. Two images have been revealed. First a drawing that is frightening to say the least (above). Pinocchio is scribbled, his facial expression tending to the creepy grimaces of Art the Clown from Terrify. Articulated puppets contribute to the uneasiness of the moment, where immobility seems to betray an obscure animation, the antithesis of the toys of Toy Story.
The team also shared the logo of the film.
let’s remember that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey grossed more than 5 million dollars in theaters for… 100,000 budget! The universe of Disney horror totems has multiplied since they became part of the public domain. Pinocchio will thus arrive in the credits of the second part of Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey, before having the right to his solo film. The producers revealed to Bloody Disgusting :
“Unannounced in-universe characters will be revealed in end credits sketches Winnie the Pooh 2so keep your eyes peeled!“
The casting remains secret to this day. Pinocchio: Unstrung will enter production this summer with a theatrical release planned for end of 2024.
