Quentin Dupieux unveils a funny poster for The Second Act
Léa Seydoux, Vincent Lindon, Raphaël Quenard and Louis Garrel with the sauce – or rather “the wine” – Dupieux.
Legend has it that each year has its Quentin Dupieux or even two when business is good like in 2024 or after Daaaaaali! the director continues with The Second Act – his thirteenth feature film.
The mystery surrounding the film is revealed little by little. After a first trailer revealed a few days ago, the codes of which seem to pay homage to the Splendid troupe, and in which each character stands out from the crowd by certainly swearing to be the heart of the film, it is the turn of the poster to finally be shown.
On his social networks, the director of Steak publishes a first poster on which we can literally see the “heads” posters directly served on a plate where the name of their character is engraved, and wine spilled. Dinner is served ! The design is reminiscent ofIncredible but true by the same filmmaker, released in 2022 and with Alain Chabat – also headlining.
Four heads but five names. The role played by Manuel Guillot is still kept secret. As for the others, Léa Seydoux plays Florence, a young woman in love with David (Louis Garrel) and who intends to introduce him to his father, Guillaume, played by Vincent Lindon. But these feelings are not reciprocated and David tries to push Florence into the arms of his friend, Willy, played by Raphaël Quennard – hero of Yannick. This farcical situation takes place in a restaurant in the middle of nowhere.
Second act will open the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and will be released in cinemas the same day.
