Quentin Tarantino will release a book about Cliff Booth before the film with Brad Pitt

Before discovering the sequel to Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood on Netflix, fans of the stuntman played by Brad Pitt will be able to find the character in a new novel written by Quentin Tarantino himself.

Quentin Tarantino still has things to say about Cliff Booth.

While the film The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Boothwhich he wrote and which was directed by David Fincher, will be released at the end of the year, the filmmaker announces that he has also written a novel dedicated to his stuntman: The Adventures of Cliff Booth.

A book derived from his film Once Upon a Time… in Hollywoodtherefore, which will be published on December 8 by HarperCollins in the United States and the United Kingdom (no French date for the moment), a few days after the first IMAX screenings of The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth (November 25 across the Atlantic) but before its arrival on Netflix, on December 23. Brad Pitt will obviously reprise his role as Cliff Booth, Rick Dalton’s stuntman and confidant.

So what will the book be about?

This new novel will take place in 1977, eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

For this new adventure, Tarantino decided to change perspective slightly. The plot remains largely secret for the moment, but the summary of the book already gives some clues as to what awaits the character: “The Swinging Sixties are well and truly over, but Clifford Booth continues on his way…“We will notably find this former war hero who became a stuntman, but also a bartender or projectionist, always with some more clandestine services rendered to his friends.

This is the second time that Quentin Tarantino has written a novel around Once Upon a Time… in Hollywoodwho had already published a novelization of his feature film in 2021.
