Robert de Niro in The Whisper Man: trailer for the Netflix film
The 82-year-old actor tracks down a serial killer in this psychological thriller adapted from Alex North’s best-seller.
Seven years later The IrishmanRobert De Niro is back on Netflix in a dark and tense thriller.
The platform has just revealed the first trailer for The Whisper Manadapted from the successful novel by Alex North, which remained on the bestseller charts for several weeks New York Times.
The film brings together an all-star cast with Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan and Adam Scott.
The story follows a recently widowed detective novelist, “whose eight-year-old son is kidnapped. He seeks help from his father, a retired detective, and discovers a connection to a decades-old case involving a convicted serial killer: The Whisper Man.”
In the direction, we find the New Zealander James Ashcroft, noted with thrillers Coming Home in the Dark (2021) and The Rule of Jenny Pen (2024). With The Whisper Manhe signed his first film for Netflix.
The Whisper Man will be available on Netflix from August 28.
