Rocky still makes little ones: a series derived from Creed arrives on Prime Video

Years later, the Rocky universe remains timeless. Michael B. Jordan comes out his boxing gloves for Delphi, Creed’s new spin-off.

Recently seen in Sinners,, Michael B. Jordan announces his return to the ring as a producer of a new series inspired by the world of Creed and therefore Rockythe famous boxer embodied by Stallone since the 1970s.

Entitled Delphithe story will run into the gymnasium of The mythical boxing saga and will be seen on Video premium Streaming.

This new dramatic series will follow the career of several young fighters at the Delphi Boxing Academythis gym where the titular boxer was training, Michael B. Jordanin the trilogy Creed. For the moment, the exact details of the plot remain confidential and no release date has been specified. One can nevertheless imagine that this new spin-off will stage a rivalry between two young boxers.

Recall that Jordan played the title role of Adonis Creed, son of the legendary boxer Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). The saga that has become cult – Continuation of the franchise Rocky – Currently accounts for three films, released in 2015, 2018 and 2023. A fourth part is currently in preparation, but no additional information has been communicated.

Written and interpreted by Sylvester Stallonethe first part of this series of films – which has not aged – met with a dazzling success, awarded Three Oscars including that of Best movie. Thanks to this eminent story, Rocky Balboa made a place for itself among the flagship characters of American cinema.

While a new series is born on video premium drawing from this universe that has marked the generations, we still do not know which characters – if there are any – films Creed could make an appearance in Delphi. Among the recurring actors in the franchise, the main characters are Jordan in the role of Creed, Tessa Thompson in that of his wife Bianca, Phylicia Rashad in that of her mother-in-law Mary Anne and, of course, Sylvester Stallone In that of the emblematic fighter Rocky Balboa.

In view of the context of the series, it is very likely that we will attend the return of Wood Harris In the role of Tony “Little Duke” Evers, who succeeded his father, coach of Apollo and Rocky, in the management of the Delphi sports hall.

Marco Ramirez will be the showrunner and the executive producer of the series. Michael B. Jordan Will be the executive producer of the series under the banner Outlier Society, alongside Liz Raposo. Irwin Winkler, David Winkler and Charles Winkler, of Winkler Films, are also executive producers.
