Saoirse Ronan to play Linda McCartney in Beatles biopic
The actress will play the wife of Sir Paul McCartney, who played a major role in his life and career for three decades.
Four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird, Outrun) will play Linda McCartney, the wife of Sir Paul McCartney, in the mural Beatles in four parts prepared by Sam Mendes.
She will share the poster with Paul Mescal, chosen to play Paul. Married in 1969, Paul and Linda formed a duo as intimate as they were musical, Linda being keyboardist and backing vocalist in the Wings after the Beatles split. She died in 1998 from cancer, aged 56.

On the Fab Four side, Harrison Dickinson will play John Lennon, Joseph Quinn will play George Harrison and Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr. Other names are still awaited.
Special feature of the project: Mendes is making four separate films, each told from the point of view of a member of the group. The stories will intersect to retrace the meteoric rise of the Beatles, from Liverpool to world legend, until the break-up in 1970. “Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary.”
All four parts will be released simultaneously in April 2028, in what Sony Pictures presents ase “the first binge experience of cinema in theaters”. Lhe exact distribution plan still remains unclear.
