A first joker teaser to dexter: Resurrection

Dexter: Resurrection finally renewed for a season 2

The bloody New York adventures of the serial killer continue.

It’s one of the very good surprises of the year: there is still life in Dexter.

The new series Dexter: Resurrection, which is in fact a pure and simple sequel to the original series, will be entitled to a season 2. Michael C. Hall will reprise the role of TV’s favorite serial killer.

In a video posted to YouTube, the actor thanked fans and announced, “There is much more to come. The writers’ room is meeting, and details will follow…the story continues.”

This confirmation was expected, but it is still reassuring, after the sudden cancellation of the prequel series Dexter: Origins with Patrick Gibson as young Dexter. This spin-off series came to an abrupt end: first renewed, it was finally canceled after Paramount’s merger with Skydance.

Remember that after eight seasons on Showtime (2006-2013), the franchise was resurrected for the first time with Dexter: New Blood in 2021. And that’s not all: another prequel centered on the Trinity Killer is also in development.
