Sean Bean in Ned Stark mode in the Robin des Bois series
The first official image will necessarily recall memories of Game of Thrones fans.
While waiting to see Hugh Jackman as thieves’ prince in The Death of Robin Hood, another adaptation of the famous Robin des Bois will take place on the small screen.
MGM+ has lifted the veil on the first image of Robin Hood, his new series in costumes expected in the coming months (by date). The photo features Sean Bean in the skin of Nottingham sheriff. Obviously, its medieval look recalls the look of Ned Stark in Game of Thrones, certainly for the greatest pleasure of fans of the saga.
In the photo, he faces Connie Nielsen (Gladiator, Wonder Woman) who plays Aliénor d’Aquitaine.

This version of Robin des Bois presents itself as a political rereading, “an intelligent, ample and romantic adventure, mixing historical authenticity, psychological depth and a particular accent on the relationship between Rob and Marian”. The legend from an unprecedented angle.
The intrigue takes place after the Norman invasion of England. Rob, son of a Saxon forest, and Marian, daughter of a Norman lord, fall in love and combine to defend justice and freedom. While Rob becomes the leader of an outlaw band, Marian infiltrates the court to fight royal corruption and work to bring peace to the kingdom.
Jack Patten (War Machine) embodies Rob and Lauren McQueen (Masters of the Air) lends his features to Marian. The cast also includes Lydia Peckham (The Planet of the Apes: the new kingdom), Steven Waddington (The Trap), Marcus Fraser (Foundation), Angus Castle-Doughty (Shadow and Bone) and Henry Rowley.
The series is led by the showrunner John Glenn (Seal Team) and produced by Jonathan English (Librarians: The Next Chapter), both also screenwriters and executive producers of the project.
