Finouis surprises at the top of the French box office
While Freaky Friday 2 has missed its start with a very disappointing first week.
The French public has obviously chosen to disappear … in theaters.
With nearly 300,000 admissions, the horror film Passed out Sign an astonishing start, despite a small combination of 309 copies and displays an enormous average of more than 900 spectators per room! The thriller by Warner Bros. Discovery France thus offers all the blockbusters of the summer, starting with the Disney comedy.
Exit at the same time, Freaky Friday 2 (still in my mother’s shoes) only takes the 10th place in the box office, with 73,320 spectators on 353 screens. It was three times less than the first part, which had attracted, in the first week, 250 00 fans of Jamie Lee Curtis and Lyndsay Lohan at the time. Freaky Friday 2 is off to a good start to be one of the summer flops in France.
In second position in the second week, Bad Guys 2 Confirms its good performance: 243,262 tickets (-29 % approximately) and already 648,806 cumulative spectators. Universal benefits from an ideal family program, with a park of 720 screens which ensures it a large network of the territory.
The fantastic four: first steps Stay on the podium in the third week but only takes 214,576 entries on 837 copies, for a cumulation which exceeds just 1.23 million. It is little for the MCU license.
In fourth place, the Comédie Française There is no network Attracts 159,482 spectators for its outing week, on 479 screens. A correct launch for Gérard Jugnot and Maxime Gasteuil.
Gothic Dracula (SND) by Luc Besson completes the top 5 with 139,392 tickets for his second week, now combining 405,830 admissions.
Among the big summer hits, we note that Jurassic World: Renaissance And F1: The film are slowly but surely approaching 3 million admissions.
