Sebastian Stan boycotted! He says Hollywood is afraid of Donald Trump
The Apprentice actor says his colleagues don’t want to show up with him to talk about Trump.
Sebastian Stan just embodied Donald Trump at the cinema in The Apprenticethe film by Ali Abbasi recounting the rise of the billionaire in the 1980s under the leadership of his lawyer, Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong). A role that now makes him a plague in Hollywood?
The Marvel star told a festival that none of his colleges wanted to sit down with him at the magazine’s famous “Actors on Actors” video meet-and-greets every year. Variety.
“I couldn’t find another actor to do it with me, because they were too afraid to come and talk about this film. So I couldn’t do it. I’m not saying this to point the finger at anyone. It was… we couldn’t convince the publicists or the people who represented them, because they were too afraid to talk about this film.“
So, Sebastian Stan won’t be doing Variety Actors on Actors, even though he was invited, because no other actor’s publicist wanted them to do it with him. This is beyond reprehensible. pic.twitter.com/tiuzEPKFze

The co-editor-in-chief of VarietyRamin Setoodeh, confirmed Sebastian Stan’s comments to the magazine People : “What Sebastian Stan said is correct. The other actors didn’t want to pair up with him because they didn’t want to talk about Donald Trump.”
Just a few weeks ago, Hollywood seemed to be up against Donald Trump. But the re-election of the Republican candidate, who promised reprisals against his opponents, changed the situation. And certain personalities are now taking responsibility for their support for Trump, like Sylvester Stallone.
In reality, The Apprentice was already a hot potato before Donald Trump’s victory against Kamala Harris. Despite its appearance in competition at Cannes, no big studio dared to distribute the film in the United States where it was released discreetly in October, content to collect 11 million euros at the North American box office.
“This is where I think we are losing the situation“, explained Stan during the same Q&A. “Because if it really gets like that, if we’re afraid or if we feel uncomfortable talking about it, then we really have a problem.”
Trump threatened to sue the biopic, which shows him raping his estranged wife Ivana, and publicly condemned it, describing it as a “disgusting and defamatory little political pamphlet“, while qualifying those who participated in it as “scum“.
Sebastian Stan: “We chose to make Trump almost normal to understand him better”
