Willem Dafoe assumes his “too much” performance in Speed 2!

If Sandra Bullock no longer assumes responsibility, William Dafoehe does not regret having done Speed 2 !
In this sequel without Keanu Reeves – and not always happy – he played the big bad guy, the one who took the cruise liner hostage. He then delivered a cult performance, completely excessive. A lit villain lining up grimaces worthy of the most beautiful memes on the Internet.
“A lot of people tease me about Speed 2. They criticize me about the size of my performance, saying that it was too much, that I did too much. But I swear to you that I still take responsibility for this performance today. Because there was no other way to do it.”
William Dafoe also puts forward a simple physical explanation for the public’s feelings:
“I have a fairly supple face, an expressive face and I don’t censor it, I let it do its job. I don’t make faces, but I know full well that my face can do really extreme things. And so when you freeze it in a meme, yes you can laugh a lot. that’s for sure.”
In the movie, William Dafoe played John Geiger, a former cruise line employee who hacked into a ship’s computer system and sabotaged it in an attempt to steal jewelry and other items. And the actor does not want to deny what he did:
“Sometimes you do things and people are just not ready. Or it’s not the right time or the right context. Maybe I misperceived the role… Anyway, in As far as I’m concerned, I continue to take responsibility for what I did in this film.”
