Spider in black and white and in color: Nicolas Cage offers two trailers
The new Spider-Man spin-off series, set in 1930s New York, is also weaving its release date on Prime Video.
He puts on the weaver’s costume and he’s going to show us all the colors!
Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man detective, it will be Spider-Noir, the dark series from Prime Video, which also reveals a double trailer: one in black and white, to stay in the spirit of the genre, and another in color, for the more reluctant (see below).
In both cases, this trailer follows Ben Reilly, unlucky detective aka Spider-Man Noir, a character that the actor already voiced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. If his animated performance had popularized this vigilante in a trench coat, the Prime Video series is directly inspired by Spider-Man Noir comics rather than Sony animated films.
Set in 1930s New York, Spider-Noir follows an aging private detective forced to confront his past, once the city’s only superhero.
The trailer shows Nicolas Cage swinging between buildings, jumping from moving cars, beating up thugs in a bar… before ending up completely drunk.
Incidentally, Prime Video has revealed the release date, set for May 27 in streaming.
The rest of the cast will feature Lamorne Morris, as well as Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez and Jack Huston. Guest side: Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson and Kai Caster.
