The best film of the year is Miséricorde, according to the Louis-Delluc Prize

Alain Guiraudie’s mysterious drama follows Animal Kingdom.

THE Louis Delluc Prize has just been awarded by a jury of 13 film critics. The winner of the Best Film of the Year 2024 award is called Mercy. The film ofAlain Guiraudiereleased last October, tells the story of the small village of Saint-Martial where Jérémie returns for the funeral of his former boss, a baker. “He stays with Martine, his widow, for a few days. But between a mysterious disappearance, a threatening neighbor and an abbot with strange intentions, his short stay in the village takes an unexpected turn…”

Mercywhich has 210,000 entries on the clock, brings together the casting Felix Kysyl And Catherine Frot. With this award, the film is already moving forward as a contender for the next César.
