The Game of Thrones series on Jon Snow is (really) not for tomorrow
The boss of HBO assures that only the Dunk and Egg series is currently certain to move forward.
Even if House of the Dragon hit, HBO doesn’t want to be Game Of Thrones dependent. The boss of the American channel, Casey Bloys, has tempered the enthusiasm of the American press regarding the spin-off dedicated to Jon Snow in the Great North, for what would be a direct sequel to the finale of Game Of Throneswith the return of Kit Harington to the casting.
The project is well underway, but it is still very far from our screens. “We still have scripts of Game Of Thrones in development. We have given the green light for the production of Dunk and Egg in the spring, but for now, that’s all”.
The boss of HBO therefore confirms that only the new series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, based on the Dunk and Egg novels by George RR Martin, has been commissioned. And the other spin-offs mentioned are still far away:
“I can’t say that any other project, whatever it is in this world of Game Of Thrones, or close to a green light (to start production) or anything like that! But yes, we are always working on different scenarios and ideas.”
