David Lynch’s property in the Hollywood Hills district of Los Angeles is now on the market. Price displayed: $ 15 million.
The director, who died in January, lived more than 35 years in this area of 1 hectare, where he created Mulholland Drive,, Lost Highway And many other works. Note that the address is also 7017 Senalda Drive … a few steps from the famous Mulholland Drive route!
According to Marc Silver, real estate agent of The Agency Beverly Hills, this house called “Beverly Johnson House” was designed in 1963 by Lloyd Wright, son of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Recognized by Historic Place as an exceptional example of modern and organic residential architecture in the middle of the 20th century, the house “embodies the drama of sloping modernism with daring geometry, glass walls and perfect fluidity between interior and exterior.”
After buying the initial property, Lynch enlarged the estate by acquiring two neighboring houses on Senalda Drive, including the Asymetrical Productions site, its production company.
The main house included a private mounting studio and a projection room. In 1991, Lynch called on Eric Lloyd Wright to design the swimming pool and his adjoining house.
He then added a house of guests on two floors and a unique living space of a bedroom, finished in his favorite smooth gray plaster. Together, these three residences and the additional structures formed a real complex.
