The Incredibles 3: Pixar reveals a first preview and lots of information

No time jump for the Parr family: Pixar unveils the first official image and the first information on The Incredibles 3, which will place Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack at the heart of the story.

It is a somewhat different Parr family that we will find in The Incredibles 3.

Pixar revealed the first concept art for the third part during the Disney Entertainment Showcase organized Friday at the D23 convention, giving several details about the plot.

In particular, there is no question of making children age. Brad Bird, screenwriter for all three films, confirmed that there would be no time jump between the second and third episodes. Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack will therefore retain their age and will this time be at the forefront of the adventure.

And the three young superheroes will have to learn to play vigilantes… without their parents. The Incredibles 3 will see Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack sneak out of the house at night to protect the town, while hiding their nocturnal activities from Bob and Helen Parr. A situation which promises some family complications.

The story will take place after the events of the second film, when superheroes have finally regained their legal status and public trust. In The Incredibles 2released in 2018, the family was initially forced to go back into hiding after a failed mission. She had finally succeeded in restoring the image of superheroes by defeating the Screenslaver.

This sequel was a huge success at the box office, becoming the biggest success in Pixar history at the time, before being overtaken by Vice-Versa 2 in 2024.

For this third part, Brad Bird therefore remains screenwriter, but it is Peter Sohn, director of Arlo’s Journey andElementarywho takes control of the production. All five members of the Parr family will return: Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack.

The Incredibles 3 will be released in cinemas on June 16, 2028.
