The Last of Us Part 3? The video game saga might never have immediately

The Last of Us is undoubtedly one of the most striking franchises in the history of Playstation. With two successful games and a TV series adaptation, it seemed logical that Sony wishes to continue the adventure with a third opus. However, a recent declaration by the CEO of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmannindicates the opposite.
While season 2 of The Last of Us arrives in mid-April (on max in France) adapting the first part of the game The Last of Us Part II,, Neil Druckmann Ensures in an interview with Variety that The Last of Us Part 3 is not in his plans.
“I was waiting for this question! The only thing I can say is that we should not bet on a new opus of The Last of Us. It could well be the end …”
These words leave doubt about the future of the license. Naughty Dog obviously intends to turn the page. During the Game Awards 2024, the studio announced its next game: Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. This science fiction game will allow players to play Jordan A. Mun, a bonus hunter. The main objective will be to flee the threats to the planet Sempiria.
Although the release date has not yet been revealed, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet already promises to be an ambitious project. The game will benefit from the music of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
As of The Last of Usthe story could well end in series, since the adaptation carried by Bella Ramsay will count 4 seasons in all.
