The Last of Us: the trailer for season 2 is here

Joel and Ellie, 5 years later…

Did you know? There is a Last of Us Dayas there is a Star Wars Day! Today is September 26, and it commemorates the fictional anniversary of the Cordyceps epidemic, a key event in the world of video games. So, to properly celebrate, HBO today released the trailer for season 2 of The Last of Us (below).

The story will resume 5 years after the events of the first season: “Joel and Ellie’s past catches up with them, pushing them into a difficult confrontation with each other. They will have to face a world even more perilous and unpredictable than the one they thought they left behind.

Pedro Pascal (Joel), Bella Ramsey (Ellie), Gabriel Luna (Tommy) and Rutina Wesley (Maria) will be back in the cast with new actors including Kaitlyn Dever who will play Abby, Isabela Merced who will play Dina, and Young Mazino who will be Jesse. Catherine O’Hara will also make an appearance.

The series The Last of Us is co-written and produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann.

No date announced yet. HBO is just confirming a 2025 release at the moment. Season 2 of The Last of Us will be seen on Max in France.
