Shōgun Sets (Already) New Record at 2024 Emmy Awards
While the main ceremony will not take place until next Sunday, the historical Disney Plus series raided the secondary prizes this weekend.
Let it be said: Shogun And The Bear should leave only crumbs to the competition during the Emmy Awards 2024. This weekend was the pre-ceremony of the technical and secondary awards. 99 trophies were awarded and Shogun has already won 14 victories (not including a prize for The Making Of Shogun), setting a new Emmy Award record, becoming the most successful series in a single edition (the record was previously held by the miniseries John Adams). The Bear made more or less the same sweep in the comedy category. Both should be another hit on Sunday, September 15, for the main ceremony of the Emmy Awards 2024.
