The Legend of Zelda: Hunter Schafer will not be Princess Zelda of the film
Nintendo relies on a duo of British actors for the film in live action, which will be directed by Wes Ball.
Two years ago, Shigeru Miyamotothe creator and developer of the games Zeldaannounced himself the development of a film Zelda in real shots. He now reveals the identity of the two actors who will embody the main roles, Princess Zelda and Link. And it’s a big disappointment for fans who have been militating for years so that Hunter Schafer plays Zelda.
“I am happy to announce to you that by the film in live action the Legend of Zelda, Zelda would be played by Bo Bragason, and Link by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth“announced Miyamoto on the official Nintendo account.”I am very impatient to see them both on the big screen. The film is scheduled for a dirty release on May 7, 2027. Thank you for your patience. “

After the Hit of Super Mario Bros. At Illumination/Universal, Nintendo is teaming up with Sony this time. And the two companies therefore preferred to bet on two little -known names. Bo Bragason was recently seen in horror comedy The radleysAnd Benjamin Evan Ainsworth notably illustrated itself in the series The Haunting of Bly Manor by Mike Flanagan. A choice ultimately quite logical as it is complicated to slip into the skin of characters so strong and anchored in pop culture.
Wes Ball, the filmmaker of the saga Labyrinth and the last film The Planet of the Apesis in charge of the realization, with Miyamoto and Avi Arad in production.
