The Marvel series dedicated to Vision announced for 2026
Paul Bettany will reprise his MCU role in this WandaVision sequel.
It is definitely indestructible! After being killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, Vision was brought back to life in WandavVision in 2022, opening the door to a comeback in the MCU. Marvel had also announced two years ago the start of construction of Vision Questdesigned by Jac Schaefferthe producer and screenwriter who already supervised the writing of WandaVision. The project is finally coming to fruition today.
Series Vision will be released in 2026 on Disney Plus, the platform announces. It's ultimately the showrunner Terry Matalaswho previously served as showrunner on Star Trek: Picardwho will take over the writing from Schaefer's hands, occupied by the spin-off Agatha All Along (release next September).
Plot details are still under wraps and it's not even clear if the title Vision Quest will be preserved. But Paul Bettany will still be there.
Let us recall that at the origin of Visionthere is JARVIS, Tony Stark's artificial intelligence, which appeared as early as Iron Man in 2008 (Paul Bettany was already doing the voice) and which took on a whole new dimension fromAvengers: Age of Ultron, when JARVIS was uploaded into a vibranium body. With The Mind Stone, he came to life and became the superhero known as Vision.
It was because she was crushed by grief that her lover, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), created a false world in WandaVision, where she interacted with a spectral creation resulting from her powers. Except that in reality, the government had also rebuilt an android Vision, without any memory of his past life, who wakes up in the finale and comes to give Wanda a helping hand before walking off into the setting sun, to understand who he is. The new series Vision will follow this finale, “as “Ghost Vision” will explore his new purpose in life“teases Disney.
