The Mohican: Alexis Manenti resists the Corsican mafia (trailer)
A new Corsican thriller by the director of La Nuit Comé.
The Corsican thriller is definitely a genre in itself: in 2024, we had In his image, Borgo, The Kingdom…And in 2025, it will be The Mohican which will open the festivities on February 12. Directed by Frédéric Farrucci (Night Coming in 2020 with Camélia Jordana), the film tells the story of Joseph (Alexis Manenti), a shepherd forced to go underground (literally) when he kills the mafioso who came to take away his ancestral land. During his escape, he will become a legend thanks to social networks… In the casting, we will find regulars of Corsican thrillers from 2024 and before (Andrea Cossu, seen in Borgo And The KingdomJean Michelangeli, seen in A violent life), in a film that aims to be quite epic, notably thanks to the Cinemascope format.
