The Morning Show will end with season 5
The Apple series worn by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston will end in 2027.
It is one of Apple TV’s most iconic series, which marked the launch of the platform in 2019.
The Morning Show is going to end. Season 5, which will be broadcast in 2027, will be the last, the Apple group announced today.
Jennifer Aniston expressed her emotion in the press release: “From the beginning, Apple has supported our vision for The Morning Show and we are fortunate to be able to tell stories that reflect what is happening in the world, all with a touch of dark humor. It has been an immense privilege to work with such talented actors and such an extraordinary team. We have become a real family and we can’t wait to be able to share this final season. Knowing that this will be the last has given us the opportunity to imagine the conclusion that these characters deserve and to do them honor.”
Reese Witherspoon continues: “As a producer and actress, these last nine years with The Morning Show have been a huge honor. It has always been more than a series on network television, it is a series about the importance of information, about the freedom of the press and about the journalists who protect the fourth estate and who often pay a high price for it. Being able to tell this story has been the great privilege of my career, from a creative point of view.”
Showrunner and producer Charlotte Stoudt is already teasing: “For five seasons, these journalists believed in their dreams. Now we’re going to see what comes next for them and which path they choose,” said “It’s been an honor to write for such generous and extraordinary actors.”
The cast of season 5 will still be composed of Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie and Jon Hamm, joined for this fifth season by Jeff Daniels, Reneé Rapp, Jesse Williams, Sean Hayes, and Lizzy Caplan, among others.
