The new Harry Potter and Hagrid in full filming in the streets of London: Look at the images

Nick Frost and Dominic McLaughlin began their magic adventure, and the first shots have already leaked.

It will certainly be one of the most spied on the next ten years.

The Harry Potter series came into production this summer to film the first episodes of season 1.

And already, photos and videos taken near the HBO reboot plateau online, to reveal a first overview of Nick Frost in the skin of Hagrid, alongside Dominic McLaughlin, who embodies the young wizard with glasses.

The actors were spotted this week, in Borough High Street, in London, while they were filming a sequence in outdoor sets.

Harry’s pace confirms a very 1990s aesthetic, faithful to the time described in the novels of JK Rowling. On some images, Frost gives way to his stuntman Anthony Wally, responsible for embodying the imposing half-manpower whose size must appear as twice that of a normal human.

For the occasion, Wally wore an imposing cap representing Hagrid, which will then be replaced in postproduction by the face of Nick Frost, thanks to digital special effects – the same technique used in Robbie Coltrane in original films.

The fans present on the spot were thus able to see Harry and Hagrid wander in a London reconstituted in the colors of the 90s, a sign that the new series intends to stick as close as possible to the universe described in the books.

This Harry Potter series will be broadcast from 2027 on HBO Max.
